AC Circuit - Impedance - Example

According for the next circuit, find:

  • A. The total current in the circuit.
  • B. Voltage in between Vab (open circuit, except the voltmeter in any case).

    • Starting with obtain of impedance Z1 and Z2 in the circuit:

    $$ Z_{1} = 3 + j4 \Omega = 5 \angle {53.13\degree} $$ $$ Z_{2} = 8 - j6 \Omega = 10 \angle {-36.86\degree} $$
